Nova knows your startup now. Here is everything that shipped this week.
This is one of the larger updates we have shipped in a while. The headline is Nova, but there is a lot more underneath it.
Nova: From chat to contextual advisor
Nova used to be a knowledge-base chatbot. Now it is a contextual advisor that assembles a full picture of your startup before answering any question.
Before every response, Nova pulls from nine data sources: your startup profile (company name, lifecycle stage, industry, financials, market sizing), all 17 tool simulators (cap table, unit economics, runway, competitive map, and more), your recent activities, assigned mentors and their notes, enrolled programs, academy courses, marketplace offers, forums, and knowledge base articles.
Nova also knows what page you are on. If you are looking at your Unit Economics tool and click "Ask Nova," the response references your actual ARPA, churn, and LTV:CAC ratio. Not generic definitions.
Ask Nova buttons are now placed on 14 pages across the platform, each with a pre-written starter question tailored to the page. Seven are on tool pages, one on the program detail page, and six on hub and listing pages.
Responses stream in real time, token by token. A context panel in the sidebar lets you see exactly which data sources Nova is referencing and toggle them on or off. And after 10 messages, Nova automatically summarizes the conversation to keep things fast without losing history.
For program administrators, there is a new Nova Advisor Usage report with metrics on total asks, unique users, average response time, token consumption, context source usage, and conversation depth. All sortable, all exportable.
Advisory Module: A full mentorship hub
The old Mentors tab has been replaced with the Advisory module. It gives founders, mentors, and administrators each a tailored experience.
Founders can see their assigned mentors, schedule and rate sessions, review session history, and request new mentor matches.
Mentors can manage their assigned founders, log sessions (past or future), confirm attendance, and initiate match requests.
Administrators get match health monitoring that automatically classifies matches as Active (session within 14 days), Idle (14 to 21 days), or At Risk (21+ days or no sessions). They also get session oversight, mentor and founder rosters, match request management, and program impact metrics.
Email notifications fire on key events (session scheduled, confirmed, disputed, match requested, accepted, declined) with deep links back to the relevant tab.
Super Admin Reporting
This module replaces roughly 30 ad-hoc SQL queries that were previously run by developers against production databases. Super Admins now get self-serve access to six detailed reports:
User Activity: activity funnel, period breakdown, trend charts, DAU/MAU stickiness, top users, feature engagement, cohort retention.
User Growth: daily and monthly signups, users by portal, users by role.
Portal Health: per-portal metrics with drill-down to role distribution, course completion, forum activity, and recent signups.
Engagement: courses, programs, forums, activities, knowledge bases, all 17 tools, chat, and Nova usage.
Advertisements: sponsorship CTR, top ads, offer metrics, contact pipeline by status and funding stage, category performance.
Startup Profiles: profile completeness, industry and lifecycle distributions, financial summary, tool adoption.
Every table supports CSV export. Every report supports branded PDF export. Reports are cached (5 to 30 minutes depending on volatility), and shift-clicking Refresh forces a fresh pull from the database.
AI tool analysis fixed across all 17 tools
The Analyze, Generate, and Explain buttons on all 17 business tool simulators were failing silently due to a change in the Gemini 2.5 API response format. This is fixed. Five tools (Cap Table, Unit Economics, Exit Readiness, Business Canvas, TAM/SAM/SOM) now also return longer, richer analysis.
Everything else
Resource file uploads. The Resources library now supports file attachments (PDF, Excel, Word, CSV, ZIP, up to 25 MB). Upload when creating or editing a resource item. Download via the paperclip icon or actions menu.
Resource editing and security fix. Resource items can now be edited after creation. A portal scoping bug that made resources visible across all portals has been fixed.
Help Center audit. Ten articles referencing features not yet live have been hidden. Two new articles added (ratings/favorites/bookmarks system, Saved tab). The pitch deck article has been rewritten to match the current UI.
Editor improvements. URLs without https:// now auto-prepend the protocol. A new unlink button lets you remove links with one click.
Chart improvements. The Hiring Plan Simulator shows dollar amounts above each bar. The Runway tool updates dynamically when switching between Crisis, Base, and Growth scenarios and shows dollar labels on the 24-month projection.
Legal Readiness auto-save. Checking items in the Legal Readiness Checklist now saves automatically with a visual status indicator.
Marketplace banner fix. Product images in Marketplace Offer cards no longer show gray bands around logos.
